I just bought 8 month ago a XDT09 and was the latest top of the line new model. Less than a year later is being replaced by XDT14Z that is just to fast. My impact driver i suspect the T mode doesnt work that well. it also is a 3 speed like the new model. The question is are Makita rushing to market new models or was my model (XDT09) took to long to introduce to US market
since I think it was available in Japan a few years before.
