I think if you stay with a 10 inch and away from sliders. Then you should be pretty good.
I use a ryobi at the moment similar to your idea. it sits on the bottom of my workbench until I need it.
Nearly any new 10 in non slider will be simlar size and weight. And I’d give a moment for double bevel compound. which is how I bought mine 15 years ago.
