Air Compressor combo kit

I’m looking for a small air compressor and 18g brad nailer combo kit for small projects. I have read plenty of reviews out there, but there are not many comparisons between the models. I am currently looking at the dewalt, porter cable, and bostitch combos. Open to any!

Any recommendations?

Your current 3 are my recommendations, assuming all are 6 gal 150 psi… they are exactly the same, just find the best deal and run with it. they often go on sale for $100 and sometimes $150ish bundled with a nailer or 2.

I just bought the bostitch combo. Needed it for laying hardwood flooring in our house. Can’t say I’ve had any problems with any of the items, is there something particular you wanted to know about it? Maybe I could help more then

I don’t think I could easily pick between Porter Cable, Bostitch, or Dewalt either.

It looks like some Dewalt and Porter Cable combos come with the same compressor, with Bostitch’s being a little different. And so with the Dewalt, you might only be paying more for the nailer.

Not a bad buy. I’ve seen better deals before Christmas and around Father’s day but if you need it now that’s the one to get.

I ended up going with the bostitch combo since it was only 179 for leap weekend and it had 3 nailers/stapler. Also hopjng reconditioned means any bugs are worked out.

One more question for you. I am building a few cabinets and looking to brad nail and glue it up for the most part. I currently have the ridgid gen5x series with quite a few batteries. I currently just do small diy furniture type projects and small renovations when needed. Would you recomend going pneumatic or should I try out the ridgid hyperdrive 18g for the little amount of projects I would do?

Bite the bullet… Get the cordless… You’ll end up using it more than you think.

+1 on the cordless option, especially if you already have plenty of batteries. For me it was an easy decision because I don’t really have the space for a compressor and didn’t want to be dragging a hose around. I went with DeWalt but only because I am invested in their cordless range, I have heard good things about the Ridgid cordless nailer too.

Saw this new (seems relatively new to Amazon anyway) small air compressor from Hitachi:

Seems to sell for $199 directly from CPO and their sister company Tyler Tool
