I’ve got a couple of old Plumb claw hammers whose handles should be replaced; inside the head there’s wood missing and they’re loose. Not really enough there to “fix”, at least not properly.
Any advice on getting good replacement handles?
If you still have a Sears locally, most carry an assortment of replacement handles. If not, I’ve seen them at True Value and similar smaller chains. If you’re lucky enough to have a mom and pop hardware store, check there. I visited a bunch around Georgia a few years ago and some had a lot of NOS tools and parts.
