Quieting Leaf Blowers

I came across this article on regarding an engineering project for some students that resulted in Stanley acquiring their solution for quieting leaf blowers.

Personally, I don’t find cordless or even electric blowers that annoying, particularly in light of the sounds that are admitted from a gas blower. I still think it’s very interesting. Here’s a link to the article

I agree, that seems like a curious thing to focus on quieting down. Gas blowers? Yes, those are a loud nuisance. I’ve never found a cordless one to be objectionable though.
