I dont know when it will be available but my biggest concern would be battery life, a cordless sander just seems like it would be a huge battery killer
Certainly battery life will be limited. But the type of projects I take on it wouldnt matter. A few min here n there. I was literally looking into modifying a porter cable armadillo to battery use before seeing this pop up:)
My use of this would be quick rounding of a cut edge, body work on a car in the driveway, So I would be more interested in the “power” and not bogging down, which is probably a function of battery life. For example, the older Ryobi One circular saw I have is a real light weight - when turning lumber scraps into kindling chunks this saw bogs down on 2x4, is really only good for 1x. So I use a Mikita x2 -18, 36V, or now a Milwaukee brushless 18V 9Ah.
Just found 1 today in Austin tx. Love it! Its more power hungry then even I imagined, but still glad to have it. The quality is a lil wishy washy though
