Tool shops in Japan

Hi All,

I’m visiting Japan for 3 weeks, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on tool shops that might be worth visiting? I’m staying in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. I am interested in looking at some Dozuki saws, I’m not sure if they will be cheaper there…

Cheers

Ben

I did buy some tool accessories from Amazon Japan and it is quite annoying that most of the description is in Japanese even if I select English language. I am looking for a special adapter. Snappy has a lovely adapter https://www.snappytools.com/product/40011-snappy-industrial-quick-change-chuck
This adapter allows me to shaft my bits into my drill/driver. The problem is it accepts only E6.3 1/4" hex shanks (Western hex shank used in Europe and North America), Japanese hex shank is a bit different (just a bit longer) and does not shaft into snappy quick change chuck, I would like to know if there is a Japanese product similar to Snappy one which accept Japanese hex shank. Thanks

Have you looked at any of the bit holders from Vessel Tools (Japan) ?

I have checked Vessel, Anex and TopTools (Japanese brands) but I was not satisfied with any of them, I wonder if there is another Japanese brand making this type of bit holder.
